The Day Before the Wedding
Thank God my cousins are here! During the day, we went to Valley Fair mall to do last minute shopping and errands - Al had a haircut, I got my french manicure, Nannie and Auntie Tina got theirs too. The rest went shopping, and we even saw family in the mall - my Lolas and the Gatmaitans. Wow, what a cool reunion! In the mall, hehehe. Al's family wasn't too far away. They were at Santana Row walking around. After a long day in picking up tuxes, showing our place to my uncle and auntie, and last-minute shopping, we headed to the hotel to finally check in. Finally, some rest, or so we thought.
The hotel was super nice. It was more than I expected. I was blown away by the architecture inside. It is historical anyway, as registered in some historical database. Hotel Sainte Claire is the name, and the rooms were clean and had nice furnishings. At night, Angel went with us to our condo to gather up our stuff to store at Ming's. I had a check list, but I was sort of confused. Good thing Angel is there to the rescue! She organized a lot of things, loaded stuff into our van, then we went to Albertson's to buy beverages, and reached Ming's with all the stuff just in the nic of time, and before they closed. We went back to the condo to pick up stuff for the church. It was pretty hectic! But without Angel's help, we would have probably freaked! Anyway, we all missed the dinner at Barrio Fiesta and swimming at the Marriott.
Later that night, the rest of the gang brought us some food to go from Barrio (crispy pata was excellent). We stayed up late doing last minute stuff - I did some pins for the money dance, Nannie and Raf made more wedding favors, Angel made more placecards, and Diane and Donald did some ribbons for pews (and also cut the placecards). We were so loud that the neighboring room was complaining, hahaha. Anyway, we slept late that night, but accomplished a lot.
